SUNCORP N.Q. GAMES - TOWNSVILLE 12-13 APRIL
The North Queensland Games held in Townsville this year featured CitiBeach Volleyball Townsville hosting the beach volleyball tournament. Players competed in pairs and 3-a-side competitions on Saturday and Mixed 4 grades on Sunday. Seventy competitors from Rockhampton to Cairns competed, with Townsville players dominating the medals rounds.
N.Q. MASTERS TOURNAMENT
What a marvellous tournament!! A new format, with a Masters tournament being organised by Masters players who know what the players want and need, with a collaboration between CitiBeach Volleyball and Steve Duffie from Wiz Events. BARRIER REEF BEACH VOLLEYBALL SERIES 2007-RD 1
This is a series of events, played annually, and involving players of all standards to compete in an atmosphere of friendly rivalry across the beach volleyball centres in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, and Rockhampton. The first round for 2007 was played in Cairns over Easter.......
THURINGOWA RIVERFEST 2006
The inter-city Mixed Fours Challenge was played as part of the annual River Festival, on Sunday 9 July. Teams represented Cairns, Townsville, Thuringowa, and Mackay, for $2000 worth of prizes and prizemoney....
GRAND FINALS - SPRING 2007 SEASON
Saturday 6th October was the night for our most recent Grand Finals, and they were accompanied by the Carnival atmosphere of the Oktoberfest at the Showgrounds. Full results are shown on the attached table.
VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENTS 2008
At CitiBeach Townsville we will host 3 major tournaments for our volleyballers in 2008. We have played the North Queensland Games and now we have just concluded the CITIBEACH CHALLENGE, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June, with a presentation dinner on Sunday night in Townsville. The event was huge with 120 payers and 150 games across 8 grades. Check out the results below.
BRBVS 2007 - RD3, CITIBEACH CHALLENGE TOWNSVILLE
Round 3 of Barrier Reef Beach Volleyball Series for 2007, was held at the CitiBeach Townsville courts over the weekend 9-10 June. More than 100 competitors competed in the usual 8 grades with 181 games being played on just 4 courts.
KING & QUEEN OF THE BEACH 2007
In 2007 the format for play in the King & Queen of the Beach tournament was a little different from previous years. Each venue, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, and Rockhampton held their own elimination tournament to decide their 4 champions to attend the finals in Townsville on Saturday 21 July and Sunday 22 July. The final in Townsville wasa feast of high-standard volleyball action.

NATIONAL JUNIOR TITLES 2006 - TOWNSVILLE GIRLS WIN!
Emma Spiegelhauer and Kirra Huddy, from CitiBeach Townsville, were undefeated in winning the National Junior Beach Volleyball Title for 2006 in the Under-17 Girls division.
KEEPING IN TOUCH
Over the years we have had a number of players and staff who have been great to know as people as well as volleyballers. Some have moved on to careers and study which have taken them not only away from Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, but in many cases overseas. We would love to hear from you.
STAFF WANTED
Canteen staff and umpires are required for evening work on a part-time but regular basis, for our Townsville centre. No experience needed, but a friendly, outgoing manner is important. Training will take about 2 weeks..See our ad....
